This scintillating book presents a sweeping survey of the Scandinavian glass produced in 20th century Finnish and Swedish communities. Manufacturers include Orrefors, iittala, Johnsfors, Kosta, Lindshammar, Flygsfors, and Nuutajarvi, among many others. Lavishly illustrated with some of the best glass photography I have seen in a book; nearly every page is adorned with at least one full-color photograph. The text includes histories of the Finnish and Swedish glass factories and the designers and artists who worked there - from Aino Aaalto to Sven Palmqvist, a detailed bibliography, and current market values i the captions. In my opinion, this is one of the best books produced on Finnish and Swedish glass.
