A Century of Fine Carriage Clocks is a beautifully illustrated book featuring hundreds examples of the most sought-after carriage clocks in the United States still in private collections. Each is beautifully photographed with several views that provide a close-up of the clock's fine details as well as the overall appearance. There is a description of each clock and its special features, including country of origin, approximate age, style of case and type of movement. The clocks are chiefly French, but there is good representation of carriage clocks made in England, Switzerland and Austria. All were selected and described by expert Joseph Fanelli. Published in 1987 by Clock Trade Enterprises. Stated first edition.
