Originally published in 1903, The Tower Clock and How to Make It is a practical and theoretical treatise on the construction of a chiming tower clock, with full working drawing photographed to scale. The clock was built for the University of Chicago by pupils of the Chicago Manual Training School, boys ranging from 14 to 18 years of age. The theoretical and time calculations were made by the instructor; but the drawings, patterns and machines work are the work of the boys. A very interesting and educational little book.
