American Clocks, Volume 2 is the second volume of a wonderful series of books by Tran Duy Ly. This 1995 second edition features 1,032 items from mostly the same 19 clock companies(some additional manufacturers are introduced) covered in volume 1. However, none of the 1,032 clocks are repeats from first volume. The volume is organized by manufacturer and includes sections on Ansonia Clock Co., Boston Clock Co., Chelsea Clock Co., Darche Electric Alarm Clocks, Gilbert Clock Co., Hatch Manufacturing Co., Howard Watch & Clock Co., Kroeber Clock Co., Landis Engineering & Manufacturing Co., New Haven Clock Co., Poole Manufacturing Co., Prentiss Clock Improvement Co., Sempire Elechrometers Self-Winding, Seth Thomas Clock Co., United States Clock Co., Waltham Clock Co., and Waterbury Clock Co. The special section on Self-Winding clocks is fascinating. At 110 pages, there is enough material here to have published it separately in it's own volume. Separate 2000 Price Up-Date is included.
