Buying and Selling by Lee Grover – 85 year old Lee Grover reminisces about past purchases including a purchase of plated Amberina by the New England Glass Company still wrapped in newspaper dated from 1905 and a number of Tiffany items.
Vetting the Repros by Johanna S. Billings – Vetting at the Atlantique City show in Atlantic City involves going from both to both to uncover “illegal” reproductions. Johanna Billings discusses her experiences at the show as a vettor for glass and includes advise on how to identify old Murano glass from similar new pieces. A number of items are pictured including Mr. Washington tomato shakers, and, of course, rose bowls.
Durand – The Man and His Glass by Edward J. Mesch - This article is by the author of a book by the same name. Thirty-seven items are shown in wonderful color.
Covered Butter Dishes by E.J. Williford - Mr. Williford’s 40 years of collecting has lead to an accumulation of over 1000 different patterns of butter dishes. Twenty-four covered butter dishes are pictured in color and identified.
Rare Victorian Glass by Wally Bruenger & Mike Ayers - Long-time dealers Wally Bruenger & Mike Ayers talk about those rare pieces of Victorian glass that they have picked up that they have never seen before or at least for a number of years at shows or in dealers advertisements. Thirty-two pieces that meet this criteria are shown in color, a good number of which are cruets.
