There has been a gap in the horological literature with respect to the companies that made electrical clocks and watches. This book, in conjunction with an exhibition held at the NAWCC National Convention in 1992, is the first attempt to fill that gap. It provides information on 61 of the myriad of companies that made electric clocks and watches. Organized alphabetically by company name, a well-written narrative describes the history of each firm. Technical information is held to a minimum while the the company personal and events are emphasized. The book is illustrated with representative clocks that were included in the 1992 exhibition.
