Concentrating on Anchor Hocking's Depression era glassware, the book presents the different pitcher and glass shapes and the decorative treatments used to adorn them, ranging from hand-painted designs to etched patterns. Also included are the evoluition of Anchor Hocking pitcher desings, simple methods to differentiate between Anchor Hocking glassware and similar items produced by other companies, many pages of historical documentation, and an index. Covering the years 1950 to 1970, The Fire King Years provides a detailed look at the Fire King pitchers and glasses produced by the venerable Anchor Hocking glass company, established in 1905 and still in business today. Over 350 color photographs beautifully display these Fire King wares, ranging from Tilt Ball and juice pitchers to frosted glasses and cocktail sets.

The Fire King Years & Beyond provides a look at the decorated glassware pitchers and drinking glasses produced by Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation from the 1950s to the present. Discussed are three pitcher styles: the 86 oz. upright, the Finlandia, and the Chateau. They were decorated in patterns including Annapolis, Aurora, Breezes, Caprice, Courtney, Early American Prescut, Flair, Gemstone, Jubilee, Madrid, Pagoda, Regal, Roly Poly, Shell, Terrace, and Wexford.
